Thrift Haul 04/18/26

Ask anyone who thrifts-especially for books-and they’ll tell you the best places are tiny, unbranded secondhand shops (usually associated with a ministry), library sales, and church basement sales.

Today’s haul proves the point. Let us all take a moment to appreciate the fine taste of the Methodists in my town and all of these lovely books I picked up for $0.25 each.

See what I mean? I am so excited about this one! All of the I Can Read Science books and James Herriot! The Washington book is from 1935 and still in readable condition. For a quarter.

Books I got for friends:

These are books I already owned and knew I did, but didn’t want to pass up for that price!
