Review:
This is such a beautiful, gentle book about the changing of the seasons on a little island. A kitten comes on a picnic and challenges the island about being small, to which the island replies that it’s a part of the world and a world all its own. It’s a light and beautifully illustrated book. A great way to talk about the changing seasons and also about taking things on faith. I feel like the lines about the world being connected veer a little obscure, but easy to bring back with the reminder that God created all of the world and all of us.
Kid Thoughts:
They really like this one. They commented a lot on the art work and the life of the island.
Content Considerations:
Personification of the island and also animals.
